Logic Pro 10.8 has been out for over a week now. And man, I gotta say it – I LOVE THIS UPDATE!
In my opinion, Mastering Assistant alone is a huge win for Logic Pro users. Mastering Assistant sounds fantastic and delivers exactly what it should – an objective perspective to tighten up a song for release.
But aside from the mega additions of Mastering Assistant, Beat Breaker, and Sample Alchemy, there’s definitely more to love in the 10.8 update.
For example – you can now set a default region type for Software Instrument and External MIDI track types.
Since MIDI, Pattern, and Drummer regions can occupy both track types, you can now specify your preferred region type on a track-by-track basis.
Also, Logic Pro further supports MIDI 2.0 with increased resolution. Within the View Settings (previously the Display Settings), set Velocity values with decimal points or percentages.
And there’s more beyond that! Check out today’s video for 10 more reasons why Logic Pro 10.8 rules.
