Welcome to part 3 of WLPR’s new 8-part series on ATMOS and Spatial Mixing in Logic Pro. For the next few weeks I’ll be sharing my journey into this brave new immersive world 🔊
ATMOS and Spatial Mixing have been native to Logic Pro since version 10.7. And it’s high time for WLPR to finally dive in.
So over the next few weeks I’m going to share my experiences and what I learn to help you grow into this new world of audio.
Also – this series is sponsored by IK Multimedia! IK was kind enough to loan me the awesome iLoud MTM Immersive bundle specifically for this series.
The iLoud Immersive bundle is a bundle of 11 iLoud MTM speakers for immersive mixing, production & playback. And this bundle rocks!
If you’re interested in setting up a system for Spatial Mixing, you should definitely click here to learn more about the iLoud MTM Immersive bundle.
In part 3 of 8, let me show you how to get Atmos from the Apple Music & TV app playing through your audio interface and speakers. No expensive receiver necessary!
Hi Bro,
Hi Bro, I hope my question sounds not eroding, I ask just for example in the electronic club underground area, people enjoy, if music is very well produced, but ATMOS is as far as I know no Club Standard, which means this technology seems to me missing main target group. Anyhow, for example I am very curious about what ATMOS for example could bring something for any club like Berghain in Berlin? Next thing, are there any Concerts or festivals where ATMOS is used? I mean I am lacking to see a real world scenario which is usable to me. Hope that sounds not to rough, but thats most of stuff I ask to myself. As far as I see, ATMOS is special format and most used in Cinema Productions or Media Avangard Installations? Best Regards
Sry, But furthermore, I have to say, that at the moment Logic is totally broken from itself on my Silicon Mac with latest OSX. That might sound bad for me, but I wanna tell you something. I use Bitwig now, as this software would never make it possible to bring you in such a buggy situation. Furthermore, Plugin Sandboxing. Logic Crashes like a charm, old Projects broken have to be fixed, broken again, it is super annoying and this software is not resilient to me. Bitwig is! Why? It is just made from better Programmers IMO, but I am open to change my mind. Maybe some of future updates of logic will heal it basic functionality? I mean I never saw anything like Logic. At its basis very cool, but then messing up in complexity and featuritis. Sry, but if I read here about ATMOS, to me this software totally misses Quality and Stability, just making Featuritis. Sry to say about that.
