Bass Amp Designer – Your Key To Classic Tones & Versatile Bass Routing – 30 Days of Why Logic Pro Rules

Since yesterday’s post was all about Amp Designer, it only felt right that today we examine Logic’s Bass Amp Designer.

Bass Amp Designer is your tone machine for bass guitars. What comes included are classic amps and cabinets for tracking bass.

Apple unveiled Bass Amp Designer, I believe, back in 2013 with the debut of Logic Pro X.

At first glance Bass Amp Designer checks all the boxes:

  • Classic Ampeg SVT style amp with fridge 8×10 to match? Check
  • Classic Ampeg B-15 with flip-top head? Check
  • Mesa/Boogie 400 head with plenty of speaker options? Check

But not only that! In possibly the classiest move ever, Bass Amp Designer also includes a DI box model you can blend in with your amp tone.

Not only do you have these classic amp/cabinet tones. But you can also effortlessly blend in a DIed signal. And the DI Box comes with 6 different EQ profiles for sculpting your DI tone.

And it looks quite close to the famed Avalon DI U5…

Bass Amp Designer sounds great. Looks great. And offers plenty of versatility for your bass needs.

So today, let’s get comfortable and excited about what Bass Amp Designer offers!
