Welcome to day 10 of “Newbie to Ninja” here on WLPR! “Newbie to Ninja” is a beginner’s guide to Apple’s Logic Pro. Videos drop daily (Mondays-Fridays) for the next several weeks.
If you’re brand new to Logic Pro, this series will help you go from feeling like a beginner to complete comfort in Apple’s amazing DAW.
Yesterday we got to know the different mouse Tools you can use in the Tracks Area. We tackled everything from being able to select and move regions with the Pointer Tool, to splitting up regions with the Scissors Tool.
And if you watched yesterday’s video, you’ll know your mouse is a powerful tool when working in Logic Pro!
Now let’s supercharge your cursor with Click Zones. Click Zones allow the Pointer Tool to morph between 2 other tools – the Fade Tool and Marquee Tool.
Once enabled, all you need to do is hover your mouse over different areas of a Track Lane or Region. And like magic your cursor will provide you with up to 4 different tools at any given moment (including your Command-click tool).
Plus: let me show you a handful of Key Commands that can replace the need to ever visit the mouse Tools menu ever again. Check out the video in today’s post for the details.
