#37 – Live Loops – Your Ultimate Songwriting Sketchpad

Welcome to video 37 of “Newbie to Ninja” here on WLPR! “Newbie to Ninja” is a beginner’s guide to Apple’s Logic Pro.

If you’re brand new to Logic Pro, this series will help you go from feeling like a beginner to complete comfort in Apple’s amazing DAW.

At long last! Today let’s finally dig into Logic’s formidable Live Loops Grid.

The Live Loops Grid is the ultimate sketch pad for capturing and feeling out your different creative ideas:

  • Record and import your ideas into Cells along the Grid
  • Arrange those Cells into Scenes for different sections
  • Launch Cells & Scenes with your mouse or a controller

And everything in your grid lines up easily with your Project’s tempo to keep you in the creative zone.

Arrive upon a full-blown song arrangement? Simply record your Live Loop launching directly into the Tracks Area. And then pick back up from there to track vocals or anything else to finalize your music 🙂

Check out the video in today’s post for the full-blown walkthrough to get the most out of Live Loops in Logic Pro.
