LOGIC PRO 10.5 – It’s Here, and it’s Amazing. Here’s Your Personal Walk-through of the Latest Update

It’s here friends – the big 10.5 update.

The last major update for Logic was back in January of 2018(!!!). Sure, we’ve had our fair share of minor updates in those 2 years that weren’t all that minor at all (Dynamic Plugin Loading, anyone? DeEsser 2?).

But it’s been a hot minute since we saw the introduction of blockbuster features like Smart Tempo, the Vintage EQ Collection, Multi FX, and others.

I have to say, I’ve been itching like crazy for an update. And in my opinion, 10.5 doesn’t disappoint.

Today’s video is your personal walkthrough to the banging new features of 10.5:

  • Live Loops
  • Step Sequencing
  • Samplers
  • Drum Machine Designer enhancements
  • Drag and drop functionality

And much more 🙂 So dig in and see what’s new with Logic Pro 10.5!

Thanks! Further instruction on loading samples, particularly drum samples with round robin and velocity layers would be appreciated! I tried dropping things in and it is way better than ESX24 but not quite automatic.

Be sure You can downgrade back to old version before You update. I did’nt and I regret it. Maybe my laptop (Macbook Pro late 2013) is outdated. Playhead freezes and I cant play my tracks. Nothing helps. There is over 30 gigs free space on hard drive.

I had problems with playback on a relatively new macbook pro after the major update. I looked at the processes and it was doing osme kind of forced reindexing of my external SSD which has all my Projects on. After half an hour Everything started working properly again. Not sure if coincidence or if the re-indexing is forced after the update, but a littel patience fixed the glitchiness for me.
