Welcome to day 25 of “Newbie to Ninja” here on WLPR! “Newbie to Ninja” is a beginner’s guide to Apple’s Logic Pro. Videos drop daily (Mondays-Fridays) for the next several weeks.
If you’re brand new to Logic Pro, this series will help you go from feeling like a beginner to complete comfort in Apple’s amazing DAW.
Yesterday we explored inputting and editing MIDI with Logic’s Piano Roll Editor. With the Pencil & Brush Tools you can quickly put together entire performances with only your mouse or trackpad.
Today let’s supercharge MIDI editing with Time and Scale Quantizing in the Piano Roll.
With Time Quantize you can tighten up the timing of your MIDI performances. And Scale Quantize makes sure your melodic performances are always in the correct key for your Projects.
Oh, and don’t forget Smart Quantize. With Smart Quantize you can tighten up MIDI without killing the vibe of human and natural performances.

Thx Chris, as a Logic user since emagic “notator” this series of reviews is excellent & has unveiled many aspects of Logic Pro I have glossed over or only half realised.
I really appreciate your detailed approach.
Cheers & thanks Laurence
