Unlock Logic Pro & Mouse Around Even Faster With Modifiers – 30 Days of Why Logic Pro Rules

The tools of our Logic Pro world are most often our Mac’s keyboard and mouse. Without them, we’re pretty much dead in the water!

In particular, our mouse is the closest thing we have to physically “touching” anything in Logic Pro. So we rely on the mouse a lot to get things done.

But did you know that the 4 modifier keys on your keyboard can catapult your workflow to new heights?

In general Logic Pro’s key command system is fantastic. Keys very often match the function your thinking of in an intuitive way.

But for now, we’re gonna just set aside all the keys on your keyboard, and focus on the following:

  • Shift (⇧)
  • Control (⌃)
  • Option (⌥)
  • Command (⌘)

These 4 keys, which I’m guessing your left hand sits right over most days, unlock great power. Combined with your mouse, you can fly through Logic Pro even faster than you were before!

For example, did you know:

  • You can copy and paste tracks, regions, cells, plugins, and more by Option-clicking and dragging?
  • You can locate Auxiliary Channel strips by Shift-clicking a Send field in the Mixer?
  • You can assign tracks to multiple Groups by Shift-clicking the Group field?

In today’s video, I cover about 16 different ways to maximize your mouse in Logic Pro.

And those are only 16 ideas that come that came to my mind while filming today’s video. Undoubtedly there are even more than that.

So check out the video for how to speed up your mousing game.
