It’s hard to believe, but it’s the final day of 2020! It’s been a crazy year, one none of us could’ve expected. But despite this year’s challenges, I hope you’ve had some time to create some amazing music.

For the last day of 2020, I wanted to hop in front of the camera and express my gratitude to you for being a subscriber to WLPR.

    Hi Chris
Thanks for your videos this last year. They have been a source of inspiration and learning for me, during a year that I spent most of my time at home. I was determined to have something to show for this downtime, and am proud to say that I have emerged from 2020 with a sounder command of Logic Pro. As a user of LP for many years, I had put off wrestling with various features until I had the time to spend in understanding fully how they functioned. Your videos have covered all the bases so well.
One topic which I have found a little ambiguous in the past, and one which I’m still not 100% with, is the first installation of Logic onto a computer and configuration of all the various files for maximum efficiency and performance. In the past I understood (rightly or wrongly), that I should record my tracks onto a separate drive, and also keep samples etc on there too…….!?!?!? I think we need a definitive guide as to addressing this topic (if you have not already covered this). Also, if I have already installed LP but wanted to change the directories of some of these items at a later date, how to approach this.
Hope 2021 is memorable for you for the right reasons.
    Regards
    Ross

    He Chris,
Thank you for making this year of lock down super productive and inspiring! I spent the first half getting up to speed with Logic. Whenever I got stuck I found a WLPR post with the answer. I got my recording work flow down and cranked out a dozen new tracks. I purchased your Mixing and Mastering premium content to guide me through to the finish line. I have tried many times in the past to understand mastering, but even though I get the concepts, I could never pull it off. Your step-by-step process finally made it click. The difference is amazing and I feel like I can finally share my music the way it sounds in my head.
I just released my first singles and I have a bunch more lined up for the new year. Cheers!
    -Troy

    Chris,
Thanks so much for all the details you’ve drawn out of Logic and how you’ve shown it all online in a professional way. For me, the level has been right on – not too dumbed down and not too far above my head that I can’t at least jump in and check it out with no trouble at all. Excellent work all the way.

Have a very successful and Happy New Year.
