Welcome to day 19 of “Newbie to Ninja” here on WLPR! “Newbie to Ninja” is a beginner’s guide to Apple’s Logic Pro. Videos drop daily (Mondays-Fridays) for the next several weeks.
If you’re brand new to Logic Pro, this series will help you go from feeling like a beginner to complete comfort in Apple’s amazing DAW.
Not only does Logic come stacked with instruments and plug-ins, but it also comes loaded with tons of preset sounds and patches! Load up any track type, and from Logic’s Library you can choose a sound that can be a source of creative inspiration.
The Library is the area in Logic where you select or save patches and presets.
What’s a “patch” you say? A patch is much more than a simple plug-in preset. In fact, you can save:
- Multiple Channel Strips
- Audio effects
- Instrument plug-ins
- Routing
- Smart Controls
And more! So you can create a massive multi-instrument Track Stack loaded with plug-ins and routing. Then you can save your mega instrument as a patch. At which you can load into your Projects from this day forward 🙂
Check out today’s video for everything worth knowing about Logic’s Library and patches.
Absolutely brilliant expose of things I which I’d been shown years ago when I first installed Logic. Could have saved me hours of frustration – priceless!
