Add Swirling “Analog” Stereo Delays to Any Track With Pedalboard

Delays can be a great tool for adding a swirling feel to your tracks. Sometimes a vocal or guitar lead could use that special effect sound to help send them out of this world.

Logic Pro has no shortage of delay plug-ins. Echo, Delay Designer, Stereo, and Tape Delay are all great. But sometimes you might be craving something with a bit more “character.”

But before you decide to buy some 3rd party delay plug-ins, why not give Pedalboard a try?

Pedalboard can add so much to your tracks. But many users assume Pedalboard is for only guitarists. Not true!

Just because guitar pedals tend to go with guitar amps doesn’t mean you can’t break the “rules” 🙂

Lucky for us, Pedalboard can be placed anywhere in the Audio FX chain. And you can even split Pedalboard into 2 completely separate effect chains.

So when I need that delay sound with a bit more grit and flutter, I like to create my own Stereo Delays using Pedalboard.

In today’s video above, watch me put together a stereo delay effect chain using the:

  • Tru Tape Delay pedal
  • Springbox pedal
  • Splitter and Mixer pedals
  • Graphic EQ pedal
  • Squash Compressor pedal

Not only that, but I further refine my vibey stereo delay using Compressor as a Mid-Side plug-in.

An excellent tutorial – would probably never have discovered how to do this on my own.
