Welcome to day 17 of “Newbie to Ninja” here on WLPR! “Newbie to Ninja” is a beginner’s guide to Apple’s Logic Pro. Videos drop daily (Mondays-Fridays) for the next several weeks.
If you’re brand new to Logic Pro, this series will help you go from feeling like a beginner to complete comfort in Apple’s amazing DAW.
With so many options for recording in your Projects, we need a way now to manage all the different takes you’ll be laying down! And lucky for us, Logic Pro has the best take management system around:
Take Folders & Quick Swipe Comping.
As you record, Logic Pro automatically packs each new Take into a Take Folder. And from there you can simply swipe with your mouse across the sections of each take you like. These different swiped sections will make up your final composite take.
Wasn’t that easy 🙂
Learn all the details about Logic’s Take Folder system by watching the video in today’s post.

Your one of the best teachers out there I learn something every time I watch one of your videos, even if I’ve seen it before. Thanks again Chris
