Welcome to day 22 of “Newbie to Ninja” here on WLPR! “Newbie to Ninja” is a beginner’s guide to Apple’s Logic Pro. Videos drop daily (Mondays-Fridays) for the next several weeks.
If you’re brand new to Logic Pro, this series will help you go from feeling like a beginner to complete comfort in Apple’s amazing DAW.
Many of Logic’s plug-ins and instruments can be quite intimidating to open up. While lots of controls can give you lots of control, sometimes a simple interface is all one needs.
Smart Controls are exactly that. A simple set of “macro” controls for quickly adjusting the sound and processing of your tracks.
The moment you load up a plug-in, instrument or patch, Logic generates a set of Smart Controls for you to use. And somehow Logic always seems to choose the controls you most often would use.
Twist and turn controls like you would with a controller. Remap Smart Controls exactly the way you want them. Plus: assign Smart Controls to the physical controls of a USB controller 😉
