It’s the simple things in life, ya know? Getting enough sleep, eating right, making time to hang with good friends. It all adds up to a happy and healthy life.
And the same can be true for just about anything. And when it comes to Logic, one of the simplest things ever that I absolutely LOVE is the Zoom Tool.
Logic must have one of the most fluid ways of navigating around a DAW ever. You can lasso a section of your Project, and Logic dives in. You can view your Regions sample by sample in seconds. And then fly back to the full session view with a couple of clicks.
And the Zoom tool isn’t reliant on snapping to the grid. There’s nothing sticky about it. Just smooooooth diving.
What makes the Zoom Tool even better is you don’t ever actually need to open the Mouse Tool menus to access it.
Instead, just hold Control and Option to change your current Mouse Tool to the Zoom Tool. Commit these 2 key commands to memory, and you’ve instantly sped up your workflow.
Combine that with Logic’s ‘Smart Tool’ (aka: Click Zones), and you have the 4 most crucial mouse tools available at any given moment.
So in today’s video, we’re gonna examine all the different ways of zooming in Logic. But honestly, just use Control and Option. It’s just so much better than the other options 😉
